Ms. Draswan Shoowong, Executive Vice President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), received a certificate for the organization’s successful compliance assessment in the Internal Compliance Program (ICP) for Items in Relation to Proliferation of Weapons Mass Destruction (WMD) from Mr. Ronnarong Phoolpipat, Director-General of Department of Foreign Trade (DFT), Ministry of Commerce and Director of EXIM Thailand at the DFT on August 25, 2023. EXIM Thailand has achieved the distinction of being the inaugural financial institution in Thailand to successfully complete the ICP system evaluation. This evaluation is crafted to elevate control standards and thwart the import and export of Dual Use Items (DUI) intended for both commercial and military purposes. This achievement strengthens international confidence in both the Thai public and private sectors, contributing to the promotion of trade, investment, industrial advancement and sustainable development in Thailand and globally.
