Mr. Pisit Serewiwattana (left), President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), recently paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Sum Sannisith (right), Deputy Governor, National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) to discuss EXIM Thailand’s roles in Thai-Cambodia trade and investment promotion, the establishment of EXIM Thailand’s representative office in Phnom Penh, overview of banking and financial institution businesses, roles of foreign banks and microeconomic financial system or microfinance in Cambodia at the NBC. NBC is mandated to formulate Cambodia’s financial policies, analyze and propose financial measures to the Cambodian government, supervise, regulate, license or delicense the banks and financial institutions in Cambodia.
