Dr. Apichai Boontherawara, President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), recently organized a press tour from Thailand to visit Nam Ngum 2 Dam and Hydropower Plant Project in Lao PDR. The group was welcomed at the project’s site by Mr. Kamphuy Jirararuensak, Deputy Managing Director of SouthEast Asia Energy Limited (SEAN) which holds 75% of the project shares. EXIM Thailand provided 60-million-USD equity finance to Lao PDR’s Ministry of Finance, which owns the other 25% stakes of the project.
