EXIM Thailand Joins Forces with BOT and Alliance Agencies to Resolve Debts alongside Enhancement of Liquidity for Thai Entrepreneurs Post COVID-19
Mr. Supattanapong Punmeechaow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Mr. Arkhom Termpittayapaisith, Minister of Finance, and Dr. Sethaput Suthiwartnarueput, Governor of the Bank of Thailand (BOT), together with Dr. Rak Vorrakitpokatorn, President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand) and senior executives from agencies under the supervision of the Ministry of Finance, the BOT, financial institutions and alliances from both public and private sectors participated in the opening ceremony of the “Debt Resolution Expo: Resolve Debt and Restart Business Sustainably” at BOT Learning Center on September 26, 2022. The event is a collaboration between the Ministry of Finance, the BOT, agencies under the Ministry of Finance and financial institutions to assist debtors in the vulnerable group to enable them to continue servicing debts according to their capability and to access credit facilities to boost liquidity and rejuvenate businesses post COVID-19 pandemic, in conjunction with provision of financial advice, for entrepreneurs and the general public.     
EXIM Thailand has joined the event to help resolve existing debts and provide additional credit facilities along with provision of financial advisory and debt restructuring services under its mission to reboot, restructure, rebalance and resynergize for sustainable development. Entrepreneurs may register for debt resolution online from today until November 30, 2022, and join the Debt Resolution Expo which will be held in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, Chon Buri and Hat Yai during November 2022-January 2023.
