EXIM Thailand Collaborates with TISTR and Rakbankerd Co., Ltd. in Providing Knowledge on Financial Management and Innovation Development of Agricultural Goods of Community Enterprises toward Export an
 Dr. Rak Vorrakitpokatorn, Member of Corporate Governance and Social Responsibility (CG & CSR) Committee and President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), together with Dr. Permpoon Puengprasith and Mr. Anusorn Aimkamon, CG & CSR Committee Members, recently led EXIM Thailand executives and staff members to join a CSR program titled “EXIM for Community Finance” organized to build exporters from community enterprises in Nan Province. The first activity under the program was a training to provide knowledge on “Golden Opportunities of Community Goods in Response to the Needs of the Next Normal World” for more than 20 entrepreneurs from community enterprises engaging in silverware, woven fabric and coffee at Doisilver Factory Co., Ltd., Pua District of Nan Province. The training was arranged along with provision of brand new export financing and FX forward contract for FX risk hedging to Mr. Somchai Rungrachatawanit, Chairman, and Mrs. Pimporn Rungrachatawanit, Vice Chairman of Doisilver Factory Co., Ltd., the third generation of the family inheriting Iu Mien or Yao ethnic wisdom and culture through making of silver accessories for export for over the past 30 years. The activity also featured provision of innovation application know-how by Mrs. Priyada Visuttipat, Director of Technology and Innovation Management Office, and Mr. Jirawat Watthanabut, Director of Innovative Business Services Division, Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR) to uplift community products and develop product models that are exportable and competitive in the global markets.
In addition, EXIM Thailand collaborated with Rakbankerd Co., Ltd. to carry out a CSR project titled “EXIM for the Environment” at Cocoa Valley Resort, Pua District of Nan Province. At the event, Dr. Rak Vorrakitpokatorn, EXIM Thailand President, joined a talk session with Miss Jaruwan Jinnasen, Managing Director of Cocoa Valley Resort, to present such topics as management concept, business outlook and development of locality products responsive to community needs on a sustainable basis to entrepreneurs in community enterprises that produce instant Pad Thai noodles, chili paste, woven fabric and embroidered fabric, Thai caramel toffee, honey, etc., and took part in a workshop for learning how to make biochar from cocoa bark in order to exchange knowledge on sustainable management of agricultural plots to become zero waste farms led by Mr. Prathan Phayom, Energy Expert/Technical Officer, Provincial Energy Office of Nan Province. On this occasion, EXIM Thailand offered brand new export financing to Cocoa Valley Group Co., Ltd. to support its export of Thai agricultural products to the world markets.
