Dr. Rak Vorrakitpokatorn, President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), along with EXIM Thailand’s executives, welcomed Mr. Santi Viriyarungsarit, Group Editor of Money and Banking Magazine and Chairman of the Money Expo, at the EXIM Greenovation booth in Money Expo 2024 at Challenger Hall 2-3, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, on May 16, 2024.
Money Expo 2024, organized by Money and Banking Magazine under the concept of ‘Digital Finance for ALL,’ is taking place from May 16-19, 2024, at Challenger Hall 2-3, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani. The event, inaugurated by Dr. Pakorn Peetathawatchai, President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), was held in alignment with the government’s and the Bank of Thailand’s policies to support Thailand’s transition into the digital finance era, ensuring financial services meet clients’ needs and provide equal access to digital finance for the general public. At Money Expo 2024, EXIM Thailand offers special promotions for SMEs and individuals interested in starting or expanding their export businesses, particularly those focused on environmentally friendly practices. The Bank’s promotions include:
• EXIM Green Start: Starting interest rate at 4.10% per annum, with a maximum credit line of 200 million baht, plus a forward contract limit up to the loan amount. Special registration at the event offers a 0.25% per annum interest reduction for the first six months.
• EXIM First Step Export Financing Credit: Starting interest rate at 5.35% per annum, with a maximum credit line of 10 million baht, plus a forward contract limit up to the loan amount. Entry fee up to 1.25% per annum of the approved credit line. Special registration for small-sized businesses at the event offers a 0.25% per annum interest reduction for the first year.
• EXIM for Small Biz Export Insurance: An export credit insurance facility to safeguard against the risk of non-payment from foreign buyers. The coverage extends to 70% of the value of losses. Special registration at the event offers a free insurance premium for one buyer, worth 8,000 baht, with coverage up to 1 million baht.
The EXIM Greenovation booth is designed using environmentally friendly materials, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 32 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO2e) compared to standard materials. This design was certified by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO), reinforcing EXIM Thailand’s commitment as a Green Development Bank towards achieving Net Zero Emissions and Carbon Neutrality. Additionally, the booth features export-quality products from EXIM Thailand's SME clients at affordable prices, creating opportunities and expanding promotional channels for products that use raw materials from communities with production processes and business operations aligned with environmental, social, and governance frameworks.
