EXIM Thailand Wins “Human Rights Award 2024” (Outstanding Achievement) in State-owned Enterprises Category for the 2nd Straight Year
Dr. Rak Vorrakitpokatorn, President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), received the “Human Rights Award 2024” (Outstanding Achievement) in the State-owned Enterprises Category. The award was presented by Pol. Col. Tawee Sodsong, Minister of Justice, during a ceremony honoring organizations with outstanding performance in human rights adherence for 2024. The event, hosted by Rights and Liberties Protection Department, Ministry of Justice, was held at the Miracle Grand Convention Hotel in Bangkok on December 2, 2024. This recognition highlights EXIM Thailand’s unwavering commitment to upholding human rights principles for two years in a row.

On this occasion, EXIM Thailand also showcased its achievements through an exhibition demonstrating the integration of human rights principles into its organizational management and business operations at all levels, championing diversity and inclusivity in all dimensions to ensure no discrimination based on gender, status or religion, as well as fair and equitable treatment of all individuals, and commitment to propelling Thailand’s trade and investment strategies toward sustainable growth on the global front. EXIM Thailand has supported development projects that encourage Thai entrepreneurs to operate businesses with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) concerns taken into account and on the basis of respect for human rights. It has issued such instruments as Green Bond and Blue Bond and developed Blue Financing scheme offering financial facilities to businesses dedicated to marine and coastal sustainability under the Sustainable Finance Framework. This would help build a friendly ecosystem and environment, which are basic human rights, and drive Thailand and the broader world toward sustainable development.
