EXIM Thailand Joins Forces with EECO to Support Entrepreneurs and Community Enterprises in Connection with Development of Target Industries to Export Supply Chain
Dr. Rak Vorrakitpokatorn, President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), and Dr. Chula Sukmanop, Secretary-General of the Eastern Economic Corridor Office of Thailand (EECO), jointly signed an Addendum regarding Promotion of Investment and Financial Services for Development of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) between EXIM Thailand and EECO at EECO on May 15, 2024. Under the Addendum, both parties aim to support trade and investment in the EEC in five target industrial clusters, i.e., medical and health, digital, electric vehicles, bio-economy and circular economy, and services, in linkage with export supply chains for sustainable competitiveness of Thai entrepreneurs on the global stage. This is in response to EXIM Thailand’s commitment toward the role of Green Development Bank mandated to empower Thai businesses going global with sustainable financial management.

The cooperation between EXIM Thailand and EECO represents the synergy between the two organizations in their endeavors to support development of Thai entrepreneurs’ businesses, trade and investment with offering of their products and privileges. It is also an extension of their existing cooperation as EXIM Thailand has so far rendered credit facilities to entrepreneurs in the EEC in an aggregate amount of more than 20,000 million baht to create the ecosystem of trade and investment conducive to the sustainable export supply chains that will enhance sustainability at the community, social, national and global levels.
