Dr. Rak Vorrakitpokatorn, President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), welcomed Mr. Sherali Kabir, Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Ardasher S. Qodiri, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Mr. Sharifzoda Firuz, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan. The meeting facilitated an exchange of information on trade, investment, economic outlook, and potential areas for collaboration at EXIM Thailand’s Head Office on November 25, 2024. During the meeting, EXIM Thailand gained valuable insights into the investment opportunities and economic strengths of Tajikistan, including its position as one of the fastest-growing economies in Central Asia, with an impressive growth rate of 8.3%, and its abundant mineral resources. The Tajik government is currently focusing on infrastructure development to bolster national and international trade and investment.
