Dr. Benjarong Suwankiri, Senior Executive Vice President, Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand), attended the 42nd Anniversary Celebration of Chinese Opera in Thailand co-organized by Top Executive Program on China Business Insights and Network (TEPCIAN) of the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Thai-Chinese Dramatic Arts Institute; China's Guangdong Provincial Chinese Opera Art Development and Reform Fund; Thai-Chinese Opera Arts Association of Thailand; Bangkok Language and Culture Academy; Thai Chinese Women Association; and EXIM Thailand. The event was chaired by Mr. Sanan Angubolkul, President of the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce Council and Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand, who also serves as the chairman of the TEPCIAN program. The celebration aimed to honor and strengthen Thai-Chinese relations through the rich cultural heritage of Chinese opera. Held at the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, the event featured a special performance titled "42nd Anniversary of Thai-Chinese Opera: 13 Spectacular Scenes" and a panel discussion on “The Making of Thai Opera: The Valuable Art of Thailand and China.” The discussions provided insights into the historical, cultural, and economic significance of Chinese opera and its impacts upon both Thai and global economies.
